Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 1 hour of transcription per month, 20 records, speaker diarization, search & quotes, and 1 project. No card required.
How accurate is the transcription?
ScoopScript uses speech-to-text models tuned for journalistic audio — interviews, phone calls, field recordings, press conferences. Typical accuracy is 95%+ on clean audio and remains strong on noisy recordings, with speaker diarization included on every plan.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Subscriptions are month-to-month and you can cancel from the Stripe customer portal in one click. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Do you train AI models on my recordings?
No. Customer audio is never used to train AI models. Your recordings are processed for transcription and analysis only, and you control deletion.
Which file formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and most common video formats (MP4, MOV) — we extract the audio automatically. Files up to 100 MB are supported on every plan.
How does this compare to Otter, Rev, or Trint?
Otter is built for meetings — it works well for clean Zoom calls but struggles with field recordings and lacks journalist-specific tooling. Rev's human transcription is accurate but expensive (~$1.50/min) and slow. Trint is closest in spirit but several times the price.
